Fresh with Anna Olson


Fresh with Anna Olson from Whitecap Books is a lovely compilation of recipes from her popular Food Network show. It's her fourth cookbook and this one focuses on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients segmented by season. I sort of feel bad, because I just looked at Spring and Summer very quickly before moving right into Fall and Winter...after all, that's what's outside my door at the moment.

I couldn't resist starting with this very tasty scrumptious snack to munch on while watching a movie...
I just call them Chorizo Potato Chips and my Honey and I loved them so much, I had to whip up a second batch....so much for dinner!
Next up for us...even though it's in the "Summer" section of the book will be Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken with...back to "Fall" for Swiss Chard with Pine Nuts & Pan Roasted Garlic. Perhaps we'll even have Honey Oat Roasted Pears for dessert.
There are appetizers, mains, desserts for every season and every taste. So no matter where you start, this is a great book with lots of tasty simple dishes.
